SalesPulse attended the IVEA Annual conference on 15th Sept 11. It gave us a good opportunity to meet with our VEC customers and keep them up to date on developments as well as to listen to their needs.

Minister for Education Ruarai Quinn attended the conference and Brian Kelly availed of the opportunity to inform him of the fact that 30 VECs were very successfully using SalesPulse software systems and that some of our existing systems are already linked in with his department and more may in the future.

The minister said that these (type of) systems will be very much needed when the VEC consolidation takes place and when the new SOLAS organisation is up and running.

He wished SalesPulse the best.

To coincide with the restart of the school year we have just launched our online Primary Schools System.

To date we have over 300 schools using our desktop version. While this has been great over the last 10 years, we decided that a secure online version would be much more effective. A few key advantages are that we can provide integrated texting to parents and to teachers and sub teachers. It can be upgraded more easily. We have built in an excellent hierarchy which allows the school to decide who can have access to different parts of the system. For example you can set up a user to only see their own class, you can set read only access, you can allow a treasurer to only have access to the accounts section. You can allow teachers to update the attendance for their own class.

If you want to upgrade from your existing system or if you want to find out more please ring Sorcha at 056 7720873.

Below is the list of features and benefits of our new system.

“The most comprehensive system available with the most proven service”.

Trusted solutions to Primary Schools for 10 years

Installed in over 300 schools in Ireland

Securely available online so can be accessed by Principal, Secretary, Teachers and Treasurer at the same time from different locations

256 bit SSL cryptographic system that encrypts your data

NEWB Reports and Parent letters about attendance

Attendance can be updated centrally or by individual class teachers

Users can be given full or read only access

Teachers can see whole school or own class

October Returns

Integrated SMS messaging

Text parents individually, by class or for whole school

Text your Teachers or maintain list of substitute teachers you can text

Bulk Email facility to communcate effectively with parents

Build your own reports

Easy Mail Merge facility

Pupil Payments system

Accounts system that can be accessed independently by treasurer

Phone and Email support

Proven history of delivering quality support

We are delighted to announce that we now have three clients for our CRM product in the UK.

The clients are in the service sector and they will be using the product to profile their current and potential customer base as well as manage the day to day customer interactions. The intergated texting that is a feature of our CRM product will work fine in the UK market.

These companies see the product as a vehicle to help manage the growth of their companies.

Most of our software systems allow the users to automatically send texts to their customers and learners.

A small change in the way texts are sent has become necessary.

The Data Commissioner in Ireland has issued a directive restricting the use of text in SenderID’s in mobile messaging. In other words the text can no longer come from “VEC Text” or “Salespulse” for example

It does provide the advantage that you can have the recipients of the text you send reply to your text. You would just type in your own mobile number and the recipient can hit reply. They would be charged the standard rate of sending a text.

If you did not want to insert your own number you could type in your organisations main landline number.

You should now start the body of your text message with something like “VEC Text” or “BTEI message” so the recipient will know who it is from.
